Building work in progress from 9am until late afternoon so no chance to relax. Not warned of the building work as would not have stayed. Rooms not serviced until late afternoon and somes not even after the cut off point. Had to buy own toilet rolls as not replenished. Light breakfasts not available because of building work.

Stayed here just for the night. Staff at reception were great friendly and professional. Room was freezing cold when we arrived aircon set 16 degrees come on it was a cold wet day took a while to get that sorted but heating worked fine. Bathroom needs some maintenance the shower had black mould round the tray some bleach sorts that it just doesn’t look good. The hotel was fine and after having an issue previously with a booking which Holly sorted out so thanks to her. All in all stay was fine didn’t have breakfast car parking is great.

Hotel location serves the purpose of visiting Heriot Watt University as it's directly located in the campus, well you will feel so once you are there. Food from limited menu is good quality. However breakfast options are same everyday and no change but this was also the same in the Novotel which we stayed in Sept 2023. So may be it's common in Edinburgh which I doubt. They need to work on that. One most important thing they should improve and very quickly is the HOUSEKEEPING part, very poor, very pathetic if you go by Marriott hotels. Standard. This may defy that. The cups are not washed 8f you have consumed coffee. The bathroom shower gels are not refilled. They do not refill creamer or sugar for coffee. No doubt they clean bathrooms properly but these other things as mentioned above are very important and have to be properly done. Hope someone reads this and act upon it.

Amarpreet at the front office was very warm,helpful and proactive in giving us an exceeding expectation experience. Ruchir , Suhasini also deserve a special mention for their going out of the way to make our stay comfortable. Overall an unforgettable experience.

Booked this hotel as we know the area well. It’s in the university campus. Arrived half hour early for check in and had some lunch which was okay. Waiting staff were pleasant. We were given a room with disabled facilities which we did not require or request. The room and bathroom was large but no heating in the bathroom. Breakfast first morning was disappointing as buffet breakfast and items were not replenished. We had to repeatedly ask for food items. One guest on her second morning let rip at the staff as it was the same the previous day. Think the issue is there is no obvious supervisor to manage the staff. Second morning it was better. Quality of the food was average. We wouldn’t stay here again.
